Air Canada Expands Toronto Global Hub with New International Routes and Destinations in Summer 2027 | aviationbizz.com
Air Canada today announced an ongoing network expansion at its Toronto global hub with the addition of four new international routes, plus improvements on two celebrated routes.
Beginning in Summer 2027, Air Canada will launch new flights from Toronto to Oslo*, Norway; Shannon, Ireland; and Nice, France. The airline is also resuming the Toronto to London-Heathrow Day-tripper service, boosting its Toronto to Shanghai flights to daily, and its new Toronto to Guatemala City flights launching this December will operate year-round.
These new services further strengthen Toronto Pearson as Air Canada’s largest hub, linking the Greater Toronto Area to over 150 destinations across Canada and around the world.

Strengthened by the recent addition of several sought-after destinations in Europe, Latin America and Asia, Air Canada’s upcoming growth from Canada’s largest metropolitan area will unlock the only non-stop flights from North America to Norway, the only non-stop flights from Canada to Shannon, Ireland, and the only non-stop services from Toronto to Nice and Guatemala City. We are also making several highly anticipated capacity enhancements to key markets, including the resumption of the Daytripper service between Toronto and London Heathrow, and boosting our flights between Toronto and Shanghai to daily, further cementing Toronto Pearson’s position as Canada’s largest global gateway,” said Mark Galardo, Executive Vice President & Chief Commercial Officer, and President, Cargo.

Air Canada previously announced the addition of new services this winter from Toronto to Quito, Ecuador; Tenerife, Spain, and year-round operations to Manchester, U.K. and Copenhagen, Denmark. Services to Tenerife, Manchester and Copenhagen will be operated by Air Canada’s new Airbus A321XLR aircraft, featuring the airline’s new Glowing Hearted interiors.
