India Joins Asia’s Emergency Evacuation Efforts Amid Middle East Crisis | aviationbizz.com
India has joined Japan, Australia, Malaysia, South Korea, China, Thailand and other Asian nations in a coordinated emergency evacuation operation to bring back citizens and travellers stranded in the Middle East due to escalating tensions and security threats.
The effort comes as geopolitical instability and disruptions in air travel have made it difficult for foreign nationals to return home. Governments across Asia have collaborated with major carriers including Emirates, Air India, IndiGo, Etihad Airways and others to organise thousands of special repatriation flights from high‑risk locations such as Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Kuwait.
India has taken a leading role in the operation, deploying government‑arranged and commercial flights to ensure the swift and safe return of its citizens. Similarly, countries like Japan and South Korea have arranged charter and military transport flights where commercial routes were unavailable, while others have worked closely with airlines to secure evacuation seats.
Despite challenges such as restricted airspace and ongoing regional tensions, the coordinated mission reflects strong international cooperation to safeguard travellers and bring thousands safely back home.
