American Airlines celebrated the launch of daily nonstop service between Miami (MIA) and Cap-Haitien, Haiti (CAP), restoring the airline’s presence in Haiti and marking a historic milestone in the airline’s centennial year as the 100th destination served in its Caribbean and Latin America network.
The added connection further strengthens the role and connectivity of American’s MIA hub, serving as the global gateway to the region.
The new route operates daily with American’s Boeing 737 aircraft, offering customers convenient access between Miami and Haiti with more than 90 connections across the United States through the airline’s MIA hub.
The historic inaugural flight was operated by an all-Haitian, Creole-speaking flight crew led by Captain Oliver Jean, reflecting American’s long-standing connection to Haiti and its commitment to delivering a welcoming travel experience for customers.
