IndiGo Expands Vijayawada Connectivity with New Services to Varanasi and Kolkata | aviationbizz.com
IndiGo has expanded its domestic network with the introduction of new flight services connecting Vijayawada with Varanasi and Kolkata, strengthening air connectivity between Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.
The new services commenced operations on August 13, 2026, and will operate three times a week. The new connection provides passengers from Vijayawada with more convenient access to two important destinations, while also creating improved travel options for passengers travelling between the three cities.
The Vijayawada–Varanasi–Kolkata service is expected to support travel demand from pilgrims, tourists and business travellers. Varanasi’s importance as a major pilgrimage and tourism destination, along with Kolkata’s role as a key commercial and economic centre, makes the new connection strategically significant for the region.
The addition of these services further strengthens Vijayawada’s domestic air connectivity and supports IndiGo’s continued expansion across India’s growing aviation market. The new flights are also expected to provide greater convenience for passengers while contributing to the development of regional air travel.
