IndiGo Launches Daily Direct Flights from Mumbai to Dar es Salaam | aviationbizz.com
IndiGo is set to expand its international network with the launch of direct flights connecting Guwahati and Bangkok, beginning October 27, 2026.
The new service will establish a convenient air link between Northeast India and Thailand, giving passengers a more direct travel option between the two destinations.
The introduction of the route is expected to strengthen Guwahati’s position as an important gateway for international travel from Northeast India. Passengers travelling for business, tourism, education and other purposes will benefit from improved connectivity to Bangkok, one of Southeast Asia’s major aviation and commercial hubs.
The direct service will also provide travelers from Assam and neighboring northeastern states with easier access to Thailand without requiring a connecting flight through another Indian city. At the same time, the route is expected to support greater tourism and business movement between the Northeast region and Thailand.
Bangkok serves as a major international hub, offering extensive onward connectivity across Southeast Asia and other global destinations. The new Guwahati service could therefore provide passengers with additional travel opportunities beyond Thailand.
IndiGo’s expansion of the route reflects the airline’s continued focus on strengthening international connectivity from Indian cities. With the new direct connection, travelers from Guwahati will have another international option while the route could contribute to stronger passenger and commercial links between Northeast India and Thailand.
The new flight service is scheduled to commence on October 27, 2026, further expanding the range of international destinations accessible directly from Guwahati.
